Fees and Payment Options
The edTPA assessment fee is $300.
Candidates will submit payment at the time of edTPA registration. Institutions may provide candidates with vouchers to cover the entire assessment fee or a portion of the fee.
Vouchers are available for purchase by institutions to be used as determined by the institution to provide full or partial credit toward edTPA registration fees for candidates at the institution. For information on purchasing vouchers, institutions should contact edTPA-IHE-Support@pearson.com.
Candidates who have been issued a voucher or expect to be issued a voucher must enter the voucher code when prompted on the payment page during registration. Vouchers cannot be applied retroactively to existing registrations.
If candidates are unsure if they will be issued a voucher or if they have questions about how they should pay for their edTPA registration, they should contact their faculty advisor before registering.
At the time of registration for an edTPA assessment, a candidate is given an 18-month edTPA "subscription." Within the 18 months, a candidate may:
- Request a change of assessment (e.g., change from Elementary Literacy to Elementary Mathematics)—there is no fee for this service
- Withdraw and request a refund—a $100 refund will be offered
