edTPA Pilot for Texas

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is taking steps toward piloting edTPA as an option for initial educator certification.

In support of a potential edTPA pilot in Texas, beginning fall 2019, Texas educator candidates interested in taking an edTPA assessment will use the Texas Educator Certification Examination Program website to:

• register for an edTPA assessment
• access and download their assessment materials
• submit their teaching portfolios
• access their assessment scores

• policies for participation
