The 2025 field test passing standards are:

• Education Specialist, Literacy: MMSN/ESN: a minimum of 34 (out of 75 possible points)
• Multiple Subject, Literacy with Mathematics: a minimum of 44 (out of 90 possible points)

The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing further approved the following:
Candidates who do not meet the field test passing standard may choose to register for a Field Test retake and submit a revised portfolio between May 15–June 12, 2025, OR wait until Fall 2025 to take the operational version of the assessment.
